Aadhaar is a unique 12 digit number for identification issued for Indian citizens and residents. This document also contains the biometric information and the demographic details of the individual. Issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the document can be used to prove the identity of an individual in the country.

Aadhaar online KYC is carried out by the UIDAI and it is the electronic version of the process of KYC (Know Your Customer). Aadhaar eKYC is performed using Aadhaar authentication. The Aadhaar number of the individual along with the demographic details and biometric information gets submitted to the UIDAI for verification of identity. The UIDAI compares the submitted information with one stored on the database and answers with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ thereby approving or rejecting the request for eKYC.
How To Keep Your Document Error Free
It is important to keep your Aadhaar free of errors. You also need to keep it regularly updated every time there has been a change in the details like your address or mobile number. The UIDAI website states that you can update the information on your Aadhaar both offline and online. In case you are unable to do it online you can approach any one of the Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Aadhaar Enrollment Center closest to your place of residence.

How To Book Appointment Online To Get Aadhaar Related Services?
Follow the steps given below to book an appointment to avail of services related to Aadhaar.
Logon to www.uidai.gov.in
Click on ‘My Aadhaar’ and select ‘Book an Appointment’
Select your city and location
Select ’Proceed’
Click on the type of service required- Update Aadhaar, New Aadhaar, etc.
Enter your mobile number to receive OTP
Type in the OTP in the space given
Enter the details required (Personal Information)
Select a suitable date and time slot and click on the option ‘Submit’
You'll receive a booking number along with the date and time of the appointment
With the booking appointment number, you need to approach your Aadhaar Seva Kendra on the given date. You can update your information or make the changes required at the allotted time slot. Currently, the following Aadhaar related services are provided at the Aadhaar Seva Kendras.

Download and print a copy of Aadhaar
For Aadhaar updation, you need to carry your Aadhaar card. Make sure your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar. The OTP will be sent to this number for Aadhaar authentication. Online appointment is convenient and saves time.
