The latest incident is a milestone to the usefulness of Aadhaar. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has helped to reunite three children with their families. While conducting a special enrolment camp at the State home for children, where runaway and rescued children are rehabilitated, the biometric data of three children was rejected due to duplication and the officials found that the children were already registered. Using the information and with the help of local NGOs, they managed to find their parents address and communicate with them. And through the efforts, these 3 children reached their home safely.

In line with the intention of making India digital, Aadhaar acts as an identity proof which is stored digitally and can be identified digitally. Because of its unique identity to individuals in all over India, it is accepted for the banking related processes, for getting new SIM, vehicles etc. Apart from that, we can happily expect to have more such incidents where Aadhaar helps in making our lives more safe and secure.
