How to get duplicate Aadhaar card online?

Lost Your Aadhaar Card? How To Apply For A Duplicate Aadhaar Card Online?

Run by the UIDAI (Unique Identity Authority of India) the Aadhaar card was introduced in the year 2009 by the Government of India for its citizens. The Aadhaar e-KYC card is issued after a biometrical scan of the individual (fingerprints scan and retina scan) and each card has a unique 12 digit number. The card also includes the name, date of birth and the address of the individual and a QR code that can be scanned digitally. Aadhaar authentication helps in proving your identity/ ownership of Aadhaar using verification of fingerprint, verification of iris or by verification using an OTP.

This e-KYC card is nationally accepted and can be used to link with bank accounts, pension, and insurance. The citizens with this card can also avail several benefits including a subsidy for LPG and wages for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). An Aadhaar card is necessary to get several things done in India. Several people in India tend to carry it with them most of the time.
